    Could Housing Crack Before Inflation Does?

Markets were pleased with the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike last week. The founder of investment house Pimco told the Financial Times this week he believes inflation is approaching troubling levels but the US central bank will not be able to implement higher policy rates to contain it. “I suspect you can’t get above 2.5 to 3 per cent before you crack the economy again,” [Gross] said.
Gold and silver have been on a wild ride for the past several weeks, the last technical analysis showed how gold had broken through the lengthy consolidation pattern between $1750-$1800, with the Ukraine crisis pushing the metal through $1900.
The world is heading into Uncharted Waters if the Russian-Ukraine War escalates into WW3.  Why?  Because NATO & the West do not have the surplus energy produced mainly by the United States during WW2.  Europe is highly reliant on Russian energy for its domestic economy...

Finally, the US Federal Reserve (Fed) did it: On 16 March 2022, it raised its interest rate by 0.25 percentage points, bringing the Federal Funds Rate to a range between 0.25 – 0.50 per cent. The reason the event became prolonged like this was that central banks went to far greater extents than I ever imagined they would in their repetitive recovery efforts. Each time they tried to back out of the recovery they believed they had created, they quickly backed out of their backing out because of how rapidly their recovery failed when their support was withdrawn.
